Material choice can make or break a product. For a material exploration course, I was challenged to improve the design of a product based solely on the materials that were used to produce the product. Throughout the course of the project, I learned about cutting edge materials and how to solve design problems simply by material. In my final resolution, I made six significant changes that improved how the user interacted with the sewing machine.
